All things being equal this is my first attempt at preparing my new blog, Notes from the Underground, and to see basically how strong or weak the software is that powers it. I will be trying to place some photos and other images, as well as symbols to see how they look
First let's try a link, okay? I was reading this fabulous article on English as the official language put out by the Heritage Fondation and moderation done by Professor Alexia Valenzula at the University of Texas.
Now I am thinking about putting in a photograph, up for it? Okay I uploaded this freedom of speech blue ribbon and althougth it was marked to go to the "right" it was nonetheless easy to move just like in PowerPoint.
Now for some symbols! I think I'll try these across the page--middle, center, and right. Here goes!
As for me this is fabulous! Basically I took one of my calligraphy symbols and uploaded it. Once on the page I simply selected it and moved it to the line just under the symbols part. Once there it was left justified and I selected it and moved it to the center vis-a-vie the text from the top.
The tough thing about doing that is that from that point on anything typed in that area will move the image accordingly. So lets bring down some books; size the shelves, and place them on the left.
Now for a quote and I think this is going to be fun! So I was thinking about what quote to use.
"The tie of language is perhaps the strongest and the most durable that can unite mankind"… Alexis de Tocqueville
