Please Allow Me to Introduce Myself...

Surprise, bang, boom, just like Christmas" Claire exclaims in Go! the much acclaimed film about a drug deal gone sour, a rave that missed the mark, and a group of friends who just about get killed in Las Vegas. So 'bang, boom, surprise' what do any of us know about this Comprehensive Immigration Reform Bill?

This much is for sure...I'll bet there are some issues packed into it like peanuts in a Baby Ruth candy bar.

So here's my second question: Where exactly does your elected official stand on these two two issues: Gay rights and Illegal Immigration? I think it's safe to say that these officials are NOT working in my best interests. Did you know that tucked neatly amid the wording of the infamous Comprehensive Immigration Reform Bill is this:

To amend the Immigration and Nationality Act to eliminate discrimination in the immigration laws by permitting permanent partners of United States citizens and lawful permanent residents to obtain lawful permanent resident status in the same manner as spouses of citizens and lawful permanent residents and to penalize immigration fraud in connection with permanent partnerships.

Seriously now, what do you really think this typical political rhetoric is all about? Looking to amend the Immigration and Nationality Act? Ahem…interesting, how so? Eliminating discrimination in immigration laws by permitting permanent partners to obtain lawful permanent resident status in the same manner as 'spouses' of citizens and lawful permanent residents.

Here's a better description: Remember the Comprehensive Reform Bill during the summer of 2007? Well this is the reform part. Insofar as homosexuals cannot legally marry under federal law, homosexuals have been unable to sponsor their significant others even after many years of being together.

Without question we have major problems with this legislation. First, how many of Mr. and Mrs. John Q. Public have been informed that gays and their entire coalition, LGBT* and transgender individuals are even listed in the Comprehensive Immigration Reform Bill?

How many of us (out here, 'outside the beltway') are cognizant to the notion that these 'leaders' want to amend the Constitution for gays and not for language purposes? How about amending the Constitution with regard to children of illegal aliens automatically becoming United States citizens?

What do you think? This Comprehensive Piece of Excrement has more lumped into it than any one person could possibly know. It angers me to think of who and what is behind this bill. It's called fraud. So in good form for yesterday's post what is the current condition of illegal immigrants in our country? Does anyone one really know?
