~Here are a just a few of mine~

The Green Bay Packers quarterback quit Tuesday after a 17-season career in which he dazzled fans with his grit, heart and rocket of an arm. Who in the modern era of NFL football provided as much excitement as the boy quarterback, Brett Favre of the Green Bay Packers? Who hasn't heard John Madden talk about Brett getting up and ready for a game like it was Sunday in the sandlot?

Who in modern times—since the advent of color televisions and economy cars—can stand up to the accolades that Brett Favre has earned? My answer is quick: No one who has ever played the game of NFL football. No one.

I was and still am a Joe Montana fan. Even Joe Montana in his tenure with the San Francisco 49'ers and what, four Super Bowl rings a couple of MVP awards, or seeing to it that the ball got to the MVP's, had some back-stabbing trouble with the 49'er organization and the rift was just as about as identical as Brett's is with Green Bay.

Seems I recall a very similar incident that Montana went through that Brett now has to endure. And folks not only does this sadden me, but it sickens me more. But more than anything, I need to say this:
It is not the players, Joe Montana, and the eternally young Brett Favre that are the source of the problems.
Hate me if you like, but I am only the messenger here. Face it the Green Bay Packer organization is hopeless; it is run on a pre-Vince Lombardi mentality that is tighter than a virgin's legs on Prom night.

Green Bay just about always leads the league in one thing: Lowest salaries per player; ugliest stadium in need of serious repair; uniforms that somehow reflect the 21st century, and the biggest of all, they lead the league in class-less behavior. In case you didn't know…they fc*k you in the drive thru. The organization is a use em' till they drop, regardless of health or physical injuries, then once they've had their way with you, you'd be better off at the drive thru. But wait, it gets worse!
Do you remember when the Packers with Brett Favre at the helm won Super Bowl XXXI in 1997 against the New England Patriots? It was the first national championship the Packer's had won since Super Bowl II and that was in 1968!! That's quite a dry spell! Twenty-nine long years of "The Pack Is Back" that really didn't happen until Brett Favre and company got there.

In Super Bowl XXXI Desmond Howard, after setting records, was named the MVP. Andre Rison, a gifted receiver who played opposite Deion Sanders many times caught the first touchdown pass of the game to give Green Bay the first lead 7-0.

In the summer/fall of 1997 when the teams are invited to the White House to meet with the President and all the hoopla that goes along with it something was missing. Seems the Green Bay front office management 'forgot' to tell Desmond Howard and Andre Rison about the trip and the two were left out. There's more to that story…but not here.

In the grand scheme of the NFL, the great LaDainian Tomlinson, running back for the San Diego Chargers and MVP of the league last year summed it up on Fox News this morning: When asked if Brett Favre should have to compete for his job this year, Mr. Tomlinson replied, "Why should he?"

Brett Favre lead the Packers to one of their best seasons in the teams history last year. Who on earth even contemplated that Green Bay would be 13—3 at the end of the regular season and collect an additional victory against the Seattle Seahawks in the post season? Just one more thing here…please remember that it was to the New York Giants in overtime that ended the Packers' season last year. And, yep it was the same Giants who took down the mighty (16-0) Patriots to win it all. Did I mention the drive thru?

Greta...get a clue here girl! Although you are from Wisconsin that's no reason to be a fan and owner of the sleaziest organizations in football. Sell your shares, distance yourself from them...trust me, the Green Bay front office will NOT go "On the Record."

Just Befuddled!

This Pisses Me Off!
I'm telling it here!
Gender Equality?

I am not even going to pretend that I know anything rational about this divorce mess with Alex Rodriquez and his estranged wife, Cynthia. All things being equal, this is one clear cut example where there is so much 'civil' discrimination that it just sickens me.

Mind you now, I wouldn't have any problem whatsoever if this 'financial arrangement' went both ways and with both parties; however, as we all know it doesn't. Oh don't get me wrong here, from time-to-time there have been landmark cases that involved very successful women shelling out some big dollars. Again as you and I both know this is not the norm.

Case in point: Joan London. My-oh-my, she griped at anything and everything the court ordered her to pay her, 'did-not-file-for-divorce-husband.' By and large I think we can all admit that gender equality simply doesn't exist when it comes to marriage, children, spouses, money, and divorce.

If this is an "age thing" Cynthia Rodriquez is a young and sprit woman of 35 years of age; A-Rod is 32 years of age; and, the ageless Madonna is 49 years of age!

Now then…we could go on for hours about how Johnny Carson got reamed not once, but how about seven times? And then the latest with Heather Mills [McCartney] trying everything from extortion to impotence to get the famous Beatle to kick over half a billion dollars!

And now Cynthia Rodriquez; Married the most prolific hitter in baseball, and he just signed a new contract this year for something around $252 million dollars. Six wonderful years of marriage is going down because some freaked out woman says, 'her husband is having an affair with Madonna.'

What sickens me in this pit of hell is that this is just another of the numerous ways the "Bar of Acceptable Standards" has be lowered. People don't need a reason to get divorced.

Details tomorrow…

Hollywood and Politics

Hollywood and Politics: "If we were to examine history we'd all find out soon enough that well, I'm not sure if the Hollywood and entertainment lot have ever predicted a right candidate yet. Allow me please [pausing...looking very reflective...] back in the Presidential campaign of 1960 those tea-leaf drinkers clearly supported Richard Nixon!"

I can easily remember a time in recent history when America was made up of proud individuals who had been coming to this country for centuries.

In fact, since just about the dawning of humankind people have been migrating to either North, Central, or South America. Get with me here folks this might get just a bit 'aloof" for some of you, but hey, we either are learning or think somehow we've already learned it all.

Case in point gang: On the eastern seaboard of the United States of America, say from northern Massachusetts to the southern coastal areas of Florida more than 300 different Iroquois tribes or 'clans' banded together to form the Iroquois Federation.

The indigenous people of the America's are brown, black, yellow, red, pink, or Heinz 57 for that matter. Yet, one thing is for certain, research is showing quite clearly now that this generation of Americans will be the first generation of people who will not exceed or contribute as much as previous generations of Americans did.

What does all of this mean? In the simplest of terms, the immigrants who came in each of the succeeding waves from northern Europe, western Europe then the eastern and southern Europeans all felt as though they had to perform. They had far too much pride and dignity to let any person out perform them; albeit, their neighbor, co-worker, boss, even their own family members!

First they are proud people; second, they are competitive and respectful people; third, most of the immigrants that came in those waves wanted to become Americans! There was no such beast as the hyphen anywhere to be found in their names, that was blasphamous! We are Americans!

One must remember that these folks forged this nation into what it used to be. It hurts to say that but when I witness 'emergency summits' with OPEC to produce more oil for our consumption it makes me want to puke!
You see ladies and gentlemen, there was a time in America's history when we, as a Nation, had far too much pride and dignity, most of all integrity, to be enslaved by any mineral, regime, dictator, or nuclear weapon. To see that the main issues of today are how the Saudi's are going to increase output for our demand isn't quite that accuate.

One must remember that by 2020 the earth's population should reach 7 billion people! Now we all should know that at least 60 percent of those people are in India and China, perhaps the most industrializing nations today. In other words their demand is higher than America's is BUT that nonetheless does not make it even acceptable to be enslaved to oil or automobile industries, or any other tangiable items.

Let's get some integrity back!

It STILL Pisses Me Off!!

~Here are a just a few of mine~

Three weeks ago the head of the Roman Catholic Church, Pope Benedict, was in the United States being revered as though he was more than a mere man. We all saw it-how could we avoid it? Every television network and cable news channels covered his every movement from the placing on of his eyeglasses to handing him tissues (toilet paper?).

There comes a time in human history when one must come to terms with the going’s on and the implications of their actions in living history.

Make no mistake about it…I am a Christian. A-nothing-special-person-who-respects-anyone’s-spirituality. No bigger or smaller than anyone else.

For a lot of Christian’s out there we must remember a few precepts we’ve been taught. Being a Christian means humility; moreover, if one thinks their walk will be easy, perhaps another faith is the way to go, inasmuch as to be a Christian means to suffer; although, not like the ascetic suffers, yet nonetheless there will be persecution, and the rubbish that comes with it.

There are many people, some of my own friends, colleagues, and associates who struggle with this concept. As a Christian, who hasn’t received this one; “How could anyone believe in something that will cause them to suffer?” A little on the temporal side, but for most in this day and age, and what we have allowed America to evolve into without interceding, it’s easy to see where this place is headed.

Here is a basic natural right; moreover, it is a basic civil right:

“The union of love, based on matrimony between a man and a woman, which makes up the family, represents a good for all society that can not be substituted by, confused with, or compared to other types of unions,” Pope Benedict said.

The pope also spoke of the inalienable rights of the traditional family, “founded on matrimony between a man and a woman, to be the natural cradle of human life”.

Now then here is one of the issues that’s been bugging me like a pest: Those individuals who subscribe to the notion of sexual orientation, ad infinitum who argue that “My god doesn’t believe that…or even for the atheist who says, ‘we don’t believe in a god’” and speaks of inalienable rights really ought to think things over just a bit more.

And finally, when is it fair for the natural rights, henceforth, the civil rights of one person or 100 million people, are trounced upon the ‘alleged’ civil rights of another? Isn’t that what we refer to as discrimination?

Still bringing more…

Whew! I sure hope not. Although I must admit, inasmuch as the people of this nation pick their ‘role models’ it wouldn’t surprise me what happens there in the Golden State.

In yesterday’s post I wrote a bit about actions and their subsequent reactions, moreover, the consequences of those actions. Think of the fool in Florida who used bad judgment and the “don’t tase me bro” screaming meme ended up arrested, jailed, fined, and a formal apology to the school and others.

Is the California Supreme Court looking to the future prudently or foolishly? Let’s just have a small perusal: California definitely leads the nation in air, water, and land pollution. Furthermore, California leads the nation in the amount of illegal immigrants living contently in our country. Clearly the state is without question the most over-populated area in the nation.

So what do we say in this regard? California is a filthy cesspool, that has people living on top of people, no respect for principles that founded this nation, and much of this is illegal.

Now any reasonable thinking human should realize the irony in the saying, “Who Knew Pleasure Could Kill You?” Yet when is someone going to stand up and say, enough is enough! No more bullsheit.

California’s Supreme Court decision to over-turn it’s previous ruling of matrimony, marriage, unions, whatever, and now says ’same sex marriage’ is now recognized and condoned by the ‘State’s Constitution’ is now legal based on the notion of ’separate but equal’ is a sham.

So what about all this nonsense about behavior and consequences? It is very much about how lawmakers and other special interest groups do not look at the welfare of the people and what their influence has on the state and society as a whole.

Something to ponder before November’s vote: Why gripe when illegal aliens are receiving ‘econ-recovery’ checks; further, no gripping now when that mortgage is somehow eased up and everything is just peachy. Don’t gripe when the ‘universal healthcare’ initiatives go sky-rocketing because now there’s 12 or so million illegals draining the tar out of the system. Think about ’same sex’ marriage for a second.

If legal there’s more of a drain on healthcare and Aid to Families with Dependent Children (Welfare) insofar as there is always someone who is confused enough to say….he got it, why can’t I? The repercussive implications of going Rainbow wild followed by Code Pink witches with spells, just what the hell is wrong with you people?

More coming at ya’…
